The latest outbreak of Ebola virus disease is affecting north eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which are in close proximity to Uganda.
The country is concurrently experiencing several epidemics and a long-term humanitarian crisis.
Additionally, the security situation in North Kivu may hinder the implementation of response activities.
For more we are joined in studio by Dr Matshediso Moeti World Health Organisation Regional Director for Africa who was recently in the DRC spearheading efforts in containing the Ebola outbreak as well as ensuring that vaccination processes are efficient particularly for the work of the WHO.
