In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the causes of acid reflux, heartburn, and GERD. PPI, Tums, and H2 Receptor blocker are medications used to treat these conditions but it also has a common side effect called Achlorhydria, a condition where it has an absence of hydrochloric acid in the gastric secretions. These medications are also causing these conditions which creates the same problems.

• Acid Reflux
• Heartburn
• Low B12
• Constipation

The common cause of acid reflux, heartburn, and GERD has to do with the autonomic nervous system where the esophagus valve is opened because of the low stomach acid.
Cause of Achlorhydria
1. H. Pylori – this microbe depletes the stomach acids
2. Zinc Deficiency
3. Potassium Deficiency
4. Sodium Deficiency
5. Chloride Deficiency
6. Iodine Deficiency
7. Vitamin B3 Deficiency
8. Hypothyroid Conditions

Best Source for Increasing Stomach Acid
• Apple Cider Vinegar
