In this video, Dr. Berg talks about arrhythmias and what causes this condition. Arrhythmia is a problem with the electrical system or the pacemaker of the heart a small group of cells that control the rhythm of the heart. The whole system depends on things called electrolytes, these are electrically charged minerals that allow the muscles to contract and relax, and the nerve to transmit communication throughout the nervous system.

Causes of Arrhythmia
1. Hypothyroidism
2. Hyperglycemia – Insulin Resistance, Diabetes
3. Alkalosis – Low Potassium, High Cortisol
4. Hypokalemia – Low Potassium
5. Hyponatremia – Low Sodium
6. Hypocalcemia – Low Vitamin D
7. Hypomagnesemia – Low Magnesium
8. Gastric Bypass / Malabsorption
