Scarlett Langton (left), 10, who suffers from asthma, said to her mother ‘don’t let me die’ before collapsing and turning blue outside a doctor’s surgery in Denton, Manchester, on Thursday, May 9. Scarlett had no pulse or heart rate for six minutes but survived after being given CPR by medical staff who rushed out of the surgery to help. The little girl was later found to be suffering from Acute Bronchospasm, which is linked to asthma and causes the airways to narrow. Her mother, Claire Langton (right with Scarlett) 39, said her daughter had earlier complained of a sore throat but she was not worried until Scarlett turned blue before collapsing. After medics came to her aid, she was treated at Manchester Children’s hospital before being released on Saturday, May 11.
