Blackheads are tiny black skin projections formed due to clogged pores. These clogs are a buildup of dead skin cell and oil that get clogged in your pores. While whiteheads are under the pore opening and appear white, Blackheads are open comedones which turn black when exposing to air. Blackheads are often found on the nose and occasionally on the back. They turn up on your skin and so stubborn to leave.
Reasons for blackheads may include Stress, Oily skin, Smoking, hormonal changes, irritation of pore, excess bacteria on the skin, Cosmetics and alcohol. There are many simple natural ways to clean the pores and remove blackheads using easily available ingredients.
Baking Soda has natural antiseptic properties that can cleanse the skin and dry up blackheads. Take a spoonful of baking soda and add some water to make a paste. Apply the paste directly on blackheads. Keep it on your face until it dries. Rinse off with lukewarm water and apply some moisturizer.
While high in vitamin a, vitamin c and citric acid, Tomatoes are a natural blackhead remedy. Tomato can help to remove excess oil, shrinking of pores and smoothing of the skin. Take a small tomato, slice the tomato and mash it. Apply a generous amount of tomato pulp over the blackheads directly before going to bed. Leave it overnight. Gently rinse with warm water in the morning.
Use Lemon Juice
Lemon juice can kill bacteria responsible for blackhead. Your skin will brighten due to citric acid in lemon juice. Take a cotton bud and dip it in lemon juice and dab at the effective area. Leave it on for 5 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water.
One of the most effective ways to clean pores and deal with blackheads is steaming your face.
Begin by washing your face with warm water to wash away any dirt or oil. Take sufficient steaming water in a bowl. Use a large tower over the bowl to trap in steam coming out of the hot water. Place your face over the bowl for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove your face from the steam and wash your face using a mild scrub and cold water.
