Avocado is making itself more and more present in our daily lives.
In a recent video, we showed you 5 foods that are good for your brain, and suggested that you should eat avocados if you want to improve your concentration since the fruit is rich in monounsaturated fats, and other fats that are beneficial to our bodies. And one of the suggestions we made was to change the traditional mayonnaise for an avocado-based mayo.
So in today’s video we will teach you how to make a delicious avocado and cilantro mayo, with few calories and lots of flavor.
Want to make your dishes even tastier?
Write down the ingredients
1/2 cup of sour cream or natural yogurt;
1 avocado, ripe;
1 handful of chopped cilantro;
1 garlic clove, chopped;
2 tablespoons of lemon juice;
Salt to taste;
Black pepper to taste;
In a food processor, add sour cream (or yogurt), avocado, cilantro, garlic and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Done! Store the mayo in a closed container in the fridge, and eat whenever you want to.
This mayo is good for 3 or 4 days, if kept under refrigeration. Use it on snacks, potatoes, salads, and even on hamburgers.
