Foods That Cure Cough
Cough is a common reaction to the respiratory system that tries to expel harmful microbes, dust or irritants from the body.
It is a natural reflex that protects your lungs, but as you know, it can be extremely irritating, unpleasant and even painful.
The cough can also keep you awake at night and impact your quality of life until it finally disappears.
It is not surprising that cough is one of the most common reasons why people seek medical attention.
And when there is no effective cure in sight, people often turn to natural home remedies
for cough that do not make it necessary to resort to over-the-counter cough medicines or syrups.
Unfortunately, most cough syrups and cough drops on the market provide little relief and do not help treat the cause of the problem.
The use of home remedies for cough that really treat the cause of the symptom is key, and that is why I use food,
supplements and essential oils for cough, which help fight infections, thin and stimulate the immune system.
Garlic and onion
Garlic and onion are antibacterial and have antiseptic properties. Make a nutritious soup with six onions,
a whole garlic, 2.5cm of grated fresh ginger and a little cayenne pepper mixed in a vegetable broth or chicken.
You could also add lemongrass. For young children, you may have to skip cayenne pepper.
Lemon and ginger tea
Drink a lot of lemon and ginger soothing herbal tea. Make your own by finely chopping a piece of fresh ginger 2.5 cm,
then put it in boiling water for 15 minutes with a splash of lemon juice and freshly chopped chives. Stress and sip
Research shows that honey has antimicrobial effects and can be beneficial in treating coughs and colds.
Honey works to relieve irritation, reduce inflammation and increase the release of cytokines.
It also provides antioxidant potentiators of the immune system.
Essential oils work as excellent home remedies for cough because many of them contain antibacterial and antiviral compounds.
In addition, some oils can help loosen mucus, relax the muscles of your respiratory system and allow more oxygen to reach the lungs.
Some of the best essential oils for cough are eucalyptus, mint, and lemon.
Migraines are related to food intolerances, internal toxicity and, sometimes, the menstrual cycle. It can also be a sign of liver congestion.
Include turmeric, which contains curcumin, and fish, which are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, in your diet.
They have great anti-inflammatory properties and Omega-3 is also an anticoagulant,
which thins the blood and reduces the severity of migraines. Esther suggests eating three servings a week.
