In this video, Dr. Berg talks about fasting as a “miracle-gro” for your brain. It has a lot of incredible things that can do to your brain. If you have brain fog, memory problems and mental fatigue, you need to do fasting. Fasting can stimulate a certain protein called BDNF by up to 400%. It can resist oxidative stress that comes from the too frequent of eating because the more frequent you eat, the more it could raise insulin and can do more damage that is created in your brain where your memory starts going downhill. He also talks about neurogenesis or the regrowing of the nerve cells.
Benefits of Intermittent Fasting:
• Allows Brain to Grow to Adapt to Stress and Resist Stress
• Neurogenesis or Regrow of the Nerve Cells
• Increase Memory, Focus
• New Connections
• Increase Mitochondria
• Fasting could help reverse the physical causes of memory loss, mental fatigue and brain fog.
1. Start with 3 meals a day (No snacking)
2. Then gradually start to 2 meals
3. OMAD or One Meal a Day – as you get older, it is highly recommended to do this.
4. Make sure that you do not eat unless you are hungry
Hey guys I wanted to create a short video on fasting. Fasting is like a miracle gro for your brain. It is an incredible things you can do with your brain. If you have brain fog, memory problems and mental fatigue, you need to do fasting. Fasting can stimulate a certain protein called BDNF by up to 400%. It could actually resist oxidative stress that comes from too frequent of eating. So the more frequent you eat, the more you raise insulin, the more damage that is created in your brain and your memory starts going downhill. Not only high sugar can destroy the brain, but also high insulin will do it too and eating in general would increase insulin. So all these conditions, Parkinson, Alzheimer, dementia stem from oxidative stress and fasting can counter that. It is actually very inexpensive, it is actually free. It creates neurogenesis which is the regrowing of the nerve cells, It is gonna increase your memory, your focus, new connections like synapses can increase mitochondria. So fasting can help reverse the physical cause of memory loss, mental fatigue and brain fog. I really do think that people is starting to recognize the effects, the positive effects of low carb on their focus and their memory. But I think they underestimate the power of fasting because every time you eat, you stimulate insulin. I think people are starting to understand the benefits of low carbs in mental performance and physical weight loss but if they add fasting to the low carb that is when they really see some positive changes for memory, focus and concentration. The body was not meant to consume food that frequently. When you start intermittent fasting, I am gonna put some links down below of how to do it, of course you wanna start out gradually. You wanna start with 3 meals no snacks, then go to 2 meals.
