4 Common Products Linked To Cancer That Are Hiding In Almost Every Home

Have you ever walked into someone’s home and taken note of items that could be potentially dangerous to your health?

I know what I do! I do not mean to judge, but I can not help but notice that people have fluoride-filled toothpaste sitting

on bathroom counters or cleaners with chemicals hidden in their cabinets.

But, what happens if some of these items are in your own home?

Most people have toxic products related to cancer in every corner of their homes, often without even realizing it.

It’s not that all the labels on these products have a big warning sign that says: “I can cause cancer!”

However, whether people knowingly buy these cancer-causing products or not,

we have to educate each other about their possible harmful effects.

The following list highlights some of the most popular products found in homes in North America that are related to cancer:

Non-Stick Cookware

Non-Stick Cookware are by far the most common kitchen utensils Americans use,

but they have an adverse side effect on our health.

It has been shown that they release toxic chemicals in food during cooking

. When the non-stick utensil is heated, its coating begins to decompose at the molecular level.

When the coating breaks, it releases a variety of toxic particles and

fluorine-based gases, many of which are carcinogenic.

Instead of toxic non-stick utensils, buy glass or ceramic pots and pans that do not release harmful chemicals.

Plastic bottles and food containers

You should definitely avoid plastic bottles and plastic food containers

. Why? Well, that’s easy to answer! Because when you drink liquids or eat food from containers made of plastic,

the chemicals in that plastic seep into whatever you’re putting in your mouth and finally digested in your body along with it.

Among these chemicals is Bisphenol A, which is used to harden plastic in products such as water bottles.

Well, yes, and you should also know that many studies have linked Bisphenol A with adverse health effects.

Instead of using disposable plastic bottles, opt for reusable metal or glass.

The same goes for food containers. Not only are you saving the environment, but you are also protecting your body.

Air Fresheners

These refreshments are advertised as able to eliminate bad odors from the house

. Research suggests that the vapors from the freshener cans are even more dangerous than cigarette smoke.

These vapors cause numerous health problems, such as respiratory conditions (asthma),

hormonal imbalance and cancer (of the throat and nose).

A natural way to refresh your home is to use essential oils,

as they can create pleasant aromas and have been shown to provide many health benefits.

Shampoo

One of the most common items that are hidden in most people’s homes is hair products with chemicals,

particularly shampoos and conditioners. Some of the typical chemicals in conventional shampoos include sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS),

perfume/fragrance, parabens, synthetic colors and more.

Parabens are a known carcinogen, as they are directly associated with different types of cancer; For example,

one study found that 99% of the breast cancer tissues evaluated had parabens in them.

Some common ingredients in synthetic perfumes/fragrances are benzene derivatives, aldehydes, phthalates and many other toxins associated with cancer,

congenital defects, nervous system disorders and allergies.
