Dr. Berg talks about the best way to measure insulin resistance is measuring your waist (in inches) to height (in inches) ratio. This correlates pretty close to actual insulin resistance. Make sure you measure the waist at the level of the belly button with a relaxed stomach. Then divide your waist in inches by your height in inches to give you the number – see the chart above.
