Besides that, Gotu kola also improves memory, helps with meditation, contributes to blood circulation, and promotes longevity.
Centella asiatica can be consumed as a tea, tincture, or in capsules, and can be found in pharmacies and natural health stores.

About side-effects, they happen mainly because of the use of ointments and gels that may cause some redness on skin, itchiness, and sensitivity to the sun.
When consumed in excess, Centella may cause issues in the liver, nervous system, or infertility.
It is also worth remembering that this plant is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, and also in cases of ulcer, gastritis, kidney or liver issues, and consumption of alcohol.
Avoid consuming Centella 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after surgeries.
